How to Beat Your Monday Blues

When Monday rolls around how do you feel? 5-years ago I dreaded every single one. Now, I love them. What happened? My philosophy changed… let me explain.
Jim Rohn talks about how life is like a Garden. You are constantly tending, caring, sowing and reaping. If you suddenly stop caring for your garden then the bugs will come have a feast and you will not reap in the fall. Gardens are similar to life because we reap exactly what we sow. The “planting of seeds” is your service to the world. If you want to reap big rewards then you have to figure out how to plant many seeds. The Bible says, “Whatever a man sows, this he will also reap.”
Do celebrities get paid too much? I don’t think so. Putting the politics & atrocities of Hollywood aside – Brad Pitt for example has entertained millions of people for countless hours. How many times have you seen Fight Club, or your favourite film? The actors used their abilities to entertain millions, therefore it only makes sense that they deserve millions of dollars.
Important note: Money itself will not make you happy. More money only amplifies what you already are. If you’re a little anxious & depressed and receive 1-million dollars tomorrow… you will feel 1-million times more anxious & depressed. Why do you think so many actors and lottery winners lose their minds?
They say money is the root of all evil… but I believe the LOVE of money is the root of all evil. If you chase money at the expense of other values in your life such as family, friends or personal integrity then you have lost and not won. Money is only a tool and we can’t take it with us when we die.
The goal: To be happy with what you have while in pursuit of what you want. I suggest reading “7 strategies for wealth & happiness” by Jim Rohn as this book started me on an amazing journey. I wish the same for you. Monday is now just another opportunity to serve others.
I love you all. -Andrew
